Patient Care Programs
Grace Hospital’s diverse and comprehensive set of patient care programs are organized into four major categories: Medicine Program, Surgery Program, Emergency Services Program and the Specialty Services Program.
Medicine Program
The Medicine Program provides a variety of services to in-patients and out-patients with a focus on cardiology. Each year, more than 2,500 individuals are admitted to one of three in-patient units. The program includes a 30-bed Clinical Teaching Unit, which provides a practice setting for various student groups including the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Medicine students as well as post-graduate medical physicians.
Adult Medical Clinic
A part of the Medicine Program, the Adult Medical Clinic is located in the west quadrant of Grace Health Campus, beside the admitting department. It provides treatment and support to over 20,000 individuals in an out-patient capacity. Various clinics include General Internal Medicine and Surgery Clinics, Early Arthritis Clinics and Allergy / Asthma Vascular Clinic.
Surgery Program
Each year, more than 11,000 surgical procedures are performed at Grace Hospital. Our main specialty areas include orthopedics, urology, general surgery, neurological / spinal surgery, endoscopy and gynecology. We are home to the ACSS (acute care surgical service) which provides 24/7, emergency general surgery services, as well as the Orthopedic Trauma surgery program. Emergency Services Program
Our Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is equipped to handle emergencies including heart attack, broken bones and any other form of illness. The department treats over 35,000 patients each year.
